Join Clovis East’s AP European History classes in fighting Scurvy!
November 28 – December 2 is Scurvy Awareness Week!
Scurvy is a disease that impacts almost no one worldwide today, but is misunderstood and deserves its own awareness week. Symptons include shortness of breath, bone pain, bruised skin, gum disease and emotional changes. Historically, Scurvy has really only impacted sailors and prirates and is easily cured by a healthy dose of vitamin C. But still, every other disease has its awareness week, so it is only fair that Scurvy be given the same respect!
So grab your orange, lemon or lime and join us as we fight Scurvy! And remember…”An orange a day keeps the Scurvy away!”
